Isaac Okoro Jonah
Isaac Jonah, fast rising Port Harcourt Naija based fashion designer and stylist. Has spent his entire life in Port Harcourt from birth. He’s 2-decade plus life spawn was first influenced to adore fashion. At a very young age, he began touring the fashion landscape and since then he leans strongly on creating styles, modern fashion trends which he intends infusing into culture as well. All this started for him from a tender age. He confirms my long and standing assertion waiting on trial, towards how the upbringing and every bits of child development is vital to children’s passion and how it might earn them a remarkable life changing career generally.
For Jonah, he started from an environment supportive of his passion, and a bonded family deep rooted into fashion and so it goes. “I’d say through the popular narrative about Port Harcourt as being rugged has made me understand a different approach towards surviving in life” He said. Expanciating his unique lens towards how he perceives Port Harcourt city. “The versatilities that are involved actually also made the city much more amazing” Jonah gushed his confession out about the garden city — famed as Port Harcourt, lucidly.
He is a fresh graduate from Ignatius Ajuru University Of Education, Rivers State. Where he studied Industrial Technical Education. “I’ve really not spent much time elsewhere. Like outside Port Harcourt” Isaac Jonah said. He was very particular about how the city played a vital role which ultimately made him subscribe fully to his passion, and inextinguishable love for fashion and styling. “Although. I have lived in the capital for a year. In Lagos and Abia for a couple of months. So I’ll simply say life is much more easier here in the garden city”
For Jonah, fashion has been a core part of his life. “Since I was a child” He recounts. “I grew up in a family highly invested in fashion. It was from them I had the first hand education and experience. Surprisingly I fell in love with the art” He added. Playing few smiles that lit me up. “My family is fashion.lol. DavidBlack is my cousin and he has been moving Lagos fashion industry” He concluded.
“Actually, from my local community in Abirba Ancient kingdom. We have a track records of highly successful fashion pioneers and I think it runs in our veins” Jonah stated positively. Adding that their local community has an archive of a good number of person’s who stands out globally in the fashion landscape” He revealed.
Jonah Isaac, takes everyday as it comes. Creating as always and being very innovative. What he aims at is to set out a fresh dazzling trend within fashion and inventing creative styles. In his words, “At some point I want to bring the culture of Nigerian fashion to the forefront beyond Nigerian creatives spaces” He said confidently. He also hopes to work gaints within the fashion spaces.
Finally, one more interesting fact about this creative stylist and fashion agent is that he and this writer graduated from the same college. Although, not exact same year. For my own words about Jonah Okoro Isaac, the passion he carries is very flammable and purposeful. Sooner than later when the entire world would gravitate towards Port Harcourt, this one would be amongst those to reckon with because he has an undiluted peculiarity. It comes to live through his fashion and styles. He is a legend in this!
Innocent Chinagorom Bright
For Innocent Chinagorom Bright, who has spent morethan fifteen years in Port Harcourt. He affirmed that the city has played a huge impact in his life as a creative entrepreneur who has been marking indellible marks within the creative spaces. He sounds positive during our brief chat and it is worth it. Bright, 27, a website developer built a media/entertainment platform known within the southern region as Nagornet.com, a site where the proper promotion of creatives has been consistently running.
In 2018 around February, he floated the media agency and to date it keeps expanding; gaining traction and has become a notable hub that gives visibility and a voice to young creatives. In his words during a chat with Port Harcourt Gist, “Port Harcourt shaped me apparently. The city paved a path for me to subscribe and develop my solid passion for tech, entertainment and music business” He explained. “Port Harcourt is blessed with so many raw talents” He said convincingly.
While he strongly appreciates his growing up within Port Harcourt. Confessing that it totally helped him showcase his potential when it comes to investing in talents. With his platform, he has gained several recognitions from several core entertainment players within the South South & South east region. From the likes of DJ More, DJ Ayi, DJ Kels and more.
According to Bright, “After being an ardent blogger promoting talents, I am also heavy on custom clearing and forwarding in Onne seaport” He revealed. Currently, he is married to Miss Benita Onyinyechi Chinagorom. The CEO of Slay Unusual Empire; a fast rising renowed fashion brand putting a new face to fashion, make up within the southern region and beyond.
Prior to establishing the notable Nagornet Media agency, Bright, has cultivated his passion for blogging since 2013. While he dreams bigger and grasps lucid visions. Victor Henry Okon

Victor Henry Okon, a computer scientist who graduated from the University of Calabar. Walks me through his media journey that started around 2002. Developing a strong passion and love for young talents, he created the notable Nigerian entertainment blog Hypecelebrity.com, and since then to date he has been playing with top players in the media and entertainment spaces within Nigeria and beyond.
“While I was growing up I had this passion for owning a blog, seeing my friends doing music without any means of promoting their craft or motioning towards getting heard” He said, evoking an intense passion. And if selflessness were to be physical, at this point you could feel it strongly and overwhelmingly. I felt his passion embrace me for some minute. The fascinating part of it all is that it is a similar passion and drive many media and entertainment behemoth cultivated prior to when they struck gold.
For the renowed 32 year old Hypecelebrity founder, he talked about the city that raised him to have a razor sharp gut, unbreakable confidence and an ability to stand out amongst peers within the creative arts industry. “Port Harcourt is a place where they really encourage young people who are into employment or have any skill to explore deeper and perform better” He explained. “I am still into entertainment because of the support I get from my environment and the encouragement along the line” He further stated.
Hypecelebrity confessed that he learned alot from Port Harcourt city. According to him “Most of the things I do, l learned from PH City. It is a place that has influenced me positively in various ramifications” He said. Being a resident of the city for morethan 25-years. He revealed, recounting several experiences as well as he narrated how he started working first with Osquare Olalekun, a well known Radio presenter for the currently famed Love FM formerly known as Rig Power. Victor Henry explores the complexities being within the creative industry. However, currently, he is in the process of rebranding his notable blog outlet — Hypecelebrity. In his words, “I am making sure my blog returns any moment. This time it would not just cover Port Harcourt contents” He said confidently and you can feel the assurance rise above average. “I am coming to make it to global stages. Currently, working on our smart mobile application that would be unveiled sooner than later alongside the blog launch” Victor said. For Henry particularly, studying computer has got nothing on him. His passion for entertainment and media has began since childhood. “I wanted to study theatre arts but my parents coerced me into studying computer science in college” Victor revealed. Also, he has been navigating his passions smoothly with the right kind of minds. Prior to when he smashed blogging in 2002, he pioneered a Pageantry brand at the time known as Regalia.
