AFROBEATS STAR BELLA SHMURDA ANNOUNCES NEW EP ‘DND’ AND UNVEILS TITLE TRACK FEATURING LIL KESH
Afropop sensation and Dangbana Republik president, Bella Shmurda, is set to release his highly anticipated EP titled ‘DND’ on July 26th. Following the massive success of his debut album ‘Hypertension,’which amassed over 250 million global streams. Bella Shmurda, aims to create a unique musical experience with this new project.
The acronym “DND,” meaning “do not disturb,” perfectly encapsulates Bella Shmurda’s current mindset for 2023. He has been teasing this new musical universe throughout the year with tracks like ‘NSV’ and ‘Ara,’ which have collectively garnered over 50 million online plays.
Leading the EP release is the title track ‘DND,’ featuring renowned afropop artist Lil Kesh. Produced by Rewardbeatz, known for his work with artists like Davido and Kizz Daniel. The jam fuses afrobeats and amapiano, creating the ideal soundscape for Bella Shmurda’s declaration of not wanting anyone to distract him from his leading lady. Reflecting on the inspiration behind 'DND' and its creation, Bella Shmurda shares, “Rewardbeatz crafted the instrumental and recorded a demo in the studio with Lil Kesh. Kesh then sent the draft to me for feedback. I listened to it and immediately started recording my thoughts in that moment, and that's how ‘DND’ was born. The song perfectly captures my current headspace, where I don't want to be disturbed while I do things my own way.”
