In 2018, Stanley Azubike and his action oriented team kicked off the maiden edition of Galaxy Music awards from the city of Port Harcourt. Since it’s inception to date, the award show has been consistently celebrating iconic talents playing excellently in the music industry. Rewarding the genuine effort of highly talented individuals and game changing brands across the Nigerian creative ecosystem. From eloquent vocalists and songwriters, radio stations, record producers, music video directors and more.

On Saturday March 8th, 2025. The prestigious award ceremony unveiled her 6th edition themed “Unsung Heroes,” which was welcomed with a fresh array of categories. With the celebration of diverse set of creators whose consistent input has pushed the creative landscape forward. The GMA officially dedicates her 6th edition to creators like the wild shot photographers, which is a category for the remembrance of late Micheal Osinachi, a popular Nigerian photographer and the founder of Wildshots. Other categories like video vixens, music cover art creators, hypemen, record labels, digital music platforms, music blogs amongst others were recognized for their enviable effort in the creative space.

The GMA, brought the Nigerian creative ecosystem in one piece, celebrated her excellence and also honored a few individuals with lifetime achievement recognition. These individuals are prominent figures whose influence and impact within the creative ecosystem continues to lead the way in the industry.

Personalities like Ayo Animashaun the executive producer of Headies Award, and the founder of Hiptv and Smooth Promotions. Alongside Piriye Isokrari who heads the famed Aristocrat records and others. Received a well deserved recognition for their impact in the industry.
