The Listening Party is a mini live performance. For musical talents to showcase every last Wednesday of the month in the city of Port Harcourt. Last year, the party recorded more than 15 performances across various venues in Port Harcourt. Providing a safe space for creators and industry veterans to connect and learn more about their artistry.
The Listening Party allows musical acts to perform on live stage. While the faculty’s, a group of seasoned industry professionals. And interested listeners can lend constructive criticisms to enable performers to learn and innovate the standard of their art. Through the platform of the Listening Party, performers can learn to appeal to a larger audience. Apart from encouraging musical creators. The platform is getting bigger, into a launch pad to showcase and connect growing talents and brands within the city of Port Harcourt.



The party officially kicked off its 2023 season this last Wednesday of August. Introducing acts such as Fini, Ceekay The Last King, Davestar, Kotingo, Peedaking, Tr4vis, D’Presh, Steph Hanson, JR Joe, S33d and Paster. These acts thrilled the audience, alongside other guest appearances like Sikiboi and Emmi Edwin, whose soothing vocal allure left the entire crowd screaming for more.






The Listening Party community has been encouraging and inviting local Nigerian musical artists to showcase live. Put on an electrifying performance. Ranging from various music genres. The Listening Party is becoming a trusted voice in the creative stratosphere. That unites Port Harcourt city with the pure spirit of entertainment. This last party of live music invited industry veterans like Kingsley Anu, founder of No Limit Music. Peter Stonecold, Steph Black Pearl and Ruzzle Tontex.
Opening for a fresh season of the listening party. The host was Dave The Mic Man, an OAP from Beat 99.9 FM Port Harcourt. With his extraordinary finesse coordinating on stage with the Listening Party band. The show was excellently wrapped. While old, new and returning attendees like Marcy With The Flower. Who had performed last year, was excited about the official opening of The Listening Party this year. He shared his sizable excitement with the Port Harcourt Gist Community. He said, “The Listening Party has been great actually. The opportunity given to artistes to display their art, as well as learn from it and perform live, has been great. Because performing live is like one of the most difficult aspects as an artist,” He explained, after a brief laugh. “Even me, I am learning from the experiences of other artists. I would not lie,” He chuckled and then added that, “The opportunity to meet new artists, also it has been amazing.” Marcy With The Flowers, concluded happily.

And the artistes should take it serious,” He said. “I have been here before but what I saw today is better. You must rehearse with the band before you perform. So, the artistes are taking it serious.”
